In the spirits category, we added:
The most interesting wines added this week were:
- Anciano Tempranillo Gran Reserva DO ValdepeƱas, which having been aged 10 years, more than exceeds the Spanish requirements for a Gran Reserva, and is a steal for the money
- Gibbston Highgate Pinot Noir “Soultaker” Central Otago, another delicious example from possibly the best soils in New Zealand for Pinot Noir
- Shasta View “Armonia Rossa” Siskiyou County, an intriguing blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Merlot and Syrah grown near the California-Oregon border
We also added Bitch Sparkling Grenache from Australia, and by popular request we’ve added Sutter Home Moscato.
In the “other” category, we added Verdi Raspberry Sparkletini. Here’s an excerpt from the, ahem, ingredients list: “grape wine, malt beverage, grape must, carbonated water, sugar, citric acid, natural flavors, potassium sorbate ….“.
